About Me:

Cat Black is a Los Angeles actor specializing in wearing her heart on her sleeve and braving into the unknown. As a performer she’s wildy dedicated to being in the moment, always ready for whatever is coming next. Originally from Thornton, CO, Cat graduated from the University of Denver with BA in theatre, and shortly after headed west for Hollywood. With a strong background and passion for theatre, Cat found a home at one of Hollywood’s most provocative and beloved black boxes- Theatre of NOTE. She has produced and acted in numerous shows for the company, including 2019 when Cat starred as Theo in NOTE’s production of Cleo Theo and Wu by Kirsten Vangsness. The production had two runs in LA and was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  Recently Cat took her passion for acting to the screen and starred as the title role in Blue Means Pregnant Films’ Natasha Hall. Other Film credits include: Yellow Bellies (BMPF) and short film Full Moon (Melanie Alexander). Cat Black is one part of a neutral mask dance duo- Imaginauts and also sings jazz and blues as “The Riverboat Chanteuse.” She loves bagels, sudoku, baking, cooking, and listening to records at home with her husband and cats.
